After school today, the usual routine commenced.  I did check in with each child - getting a snippet of their school day, going through papers and double checking homework.  We did the quick pick up of the randomness and I got on my running gear.  After the kids did their chore of the day, they went out to play, and I cranked up the 'mill.  About 33 minutes in, the treadmill jerked to a stop, and the lights went out.  Everywhere.  After some investigation, it was determined that the power was out - not only at the 1407 - but for blocks and blocks.  News traveled that there was an accident down the river road, and electrical lines were down.  The next step was obvious.  Prepare for the zombie apocalypse.
