There are lots of crummy things about being in hotel management (How many rooms did you clean today, Prose???), but there is one definite perk.  Employee discounts, baby!!  We are taking full advantage of this benefit, and decided to head to msp for the night.  We shopped at IKEA, looking for kitchen inspiration.  We hit up the MOA for some ear piercing and a boozy lunch, then spent the afternoon swimming at the Double Tree.

The best way to end Spring Break 2019, with a perfect staycation.

While Sartell is lucky to have a Spring Break, not all schools are - one being my beloved Milaca Elementary.  That means that Kylee Kay had to go to work, and needed some childcare.   Harper was so excited to babysit!  Harps played, sang and danced.  She helped prepare lunch and fed Jace and napped while he napped.  She kept him entertained all day, so much that I was able to

read this entire book as I supervised.    I'll babysit Jace any day - as long as Harper is available. 😂

Nicole Safar is currently the Assistant Deputy Secretary, in the Office of the Secretary, in the Department of Health Services, in the great state of Wisconsin.  (Say that 3x in one breath.)
I say she's my sister, and is totally big time, and I couldn't be more proud.
Next up - dinner with the Obamas.

YESSSSS!  Spring Break in Mad-City!!  AP had to work, but the retirees were able to squeeze in a trip to Wisco.  While we didn't go to the Capital this time (gasp!), we did hit up the local gardens, tried a new brewery, checked out Colie's new - gigantic - office and had steak at The Tornado Room.  Family bonding at it's finest.

The leprechaun strikes again!!  He's so clever, to create a new scavenger hunt every year for those Prose children.  And, this year, he didn't even have a trap to elude - those kids were slackers and didn't even try to catch him!  Golden candy, new tub scrubs and some Ninja and Gnome appropriate attire were included in the pot of gold, that was left in the stove.

It is much much easier being backstage watching the other 3rd grade class perform. 😊

This sweet face could not wait for her 3rd grade concert.  She practiced all the songs, had the perfect dress picked out, and a plan for her hair and accessories.  Concerts have traditionally been a challenge for our dear Harper.  She exited early from her kinder concert, made it through her grade 1 show wiping her tears throughout the show, and was sick in bed for grade 2.

We talked (A LOT) about the grade 3 show.   I promised her I would not make eye contact, and she just needed to focus on Mrs. Mancini.  And, Harper was ready?   I dropped her off in her classroom and sent the boys to get some seats.  I gave her a high five (no hugs for sure) and nudged her little nervous body to prepare with her friends.

Upon entering the stage, Harper was very serious and you see she was incredibly uncomfortable.   You also could see  her using all her energy to hold it together.  She watched her teacher intently, performed her small group parts, and played her ukelele.  She did not shed a single tear,

until she walked off that stage and saw her Mama.  The floodgates opened and she cried and cried.  I quickly swept Harper into an empty classroom and told her how incredibly proud of
her I was.  Harper does not like the spotlight shining anywhere in her direction, and tonight, she was so brave.

On Sundays we sauna - and it is the Mister's favorite day.

Do you have an air fryer?  If not, go get one today.  It is our favorite, and most used kitchen appliance.  We make all our fries (regular, sweet, tots) and veggies, and potstickers in this lovely machine.  But, did you know you can even air fry up some donuts??  Total game changer.

The March PROJAC adventure included some time in the 'burbs - where (of course) we went bowling, had beers and then hit up the local watering hole for burgers.  And, per tradition we also officially booked RT19!!
