As June comes to a close, and we enter a new month, schools are making decisions for reopening plans in the fall.  Please please please remember this...

These photos deserve their very own post.  This marks the first time we have seen each other in 2020.   My family.  My biggest supporters.  My heros.  My tribe.

What better reason to get a COVID test than this guy's 70th birthday??  We swabbed our noses, packed up the truck, picked up the sister and headed to Rose to celebrate.  It was perfect - perfect weather, perfect food, perfect people.  Happy happy birthday, Dad.  I'm so grateful to be able to spend the day weekend with you. 💙

There are no words that can describe the feeling of entering the space where George Floyd was murdered.  There was a stillness.  An overwhelming stillness that took your breath away, yet also an overpowering love.  There is no way we can understand, but we promise to learn, read, practice anti-racism, and do our best to facilitate change.

Ok, 2020.  We are half way through, and the closures keep on coming.  Thank goodness we made it to Grayson's Berry Land, because upon arrival we found out it is their final year!  Thank you berry farmers.  We hope someone continues growing your strawberry fields. We love this little land of berries, and picked an extra special box just for Grampy - they are his fave.

Happy happy Father's Day to the best ones around.  Today, we celebrated by chopping wood, filling the pool and getting pickled.   I definitely lucked out in this department.

This global pandemic has changed the way we do (or don't do) a lot.  And, in all honestly, it's been ok.  Sure we miss the ability to go visit our friends, or go to the movies, splash pad, or just bike up to Holiday.  We really miss seeing our family - but this week I experienced my first real sadness from missing out.  This week, Thelma was supposed to pick up Louise.  This week, we intended to bring our entire family on the most epic adventure ever.  This week, marks the 10 year anniversary of our roadtrip, and it is not going to happen.

As Facebook memories began to blow up my phone, in all honesty, I got really sad - but just for a minute or two.  Then, I realized how silly the sadness was, because there is no reason to be sad.  Because of this woman, I do things I never would do alone.  I see places,  I never would see, and experience things I never would solo.  I have learned song lyrics, little knows historical facts, how far we can actually get on a tank of gas and how hard I can laugh without peeing my pants.  I have learned about myself and the truest friend.   You are my person, and I know several other adventures await.
