Not sure how many years exactly we have been ringing in the NY with the Jacobsons - but it is the easiest family tradition (even with the manditory outdoor activities 🤣). This year, we headed to the RMFC - or TTH 2.0. The weather was not ideal for ice fishing or snow shoeing, but it was perfect for puzzling, game playing, back 40 hiking, bracelet making and firework displaying. Ain't no party like a ProJac party!

And, 7/8ths of us made it to midnight! (the "real" one)

Cheers to 2024!!

Some of the best (and worst best) gifts of the season.
It's my month to pick a book for book club. Finally, we can read a memoir.
#IYKYK - No one messes with Lewis Litt.

Noise canceling headphones, so he can eliminate all distractions whilst studying.

We have never been gamers, nor had video games that held attention for that long - but the Oculus may just change us.

As I was taking down the "fancy tree", I found Freddy. 👻 Thanks, Neighbor.

Finally a Christmas weekend when we are all together! Last year, the weather kept Nicole away and the years prior the global pandemic - but we are back! And, and per usual - it was filled with wonderful food, not as many gifts (Good job, Mom!), games, a few holiday romcoms, and the extended Taylor Swift featured film - to which Cayden knew all the words and Andy didn't fall asleep!

It was perfect. I love these people the most.

Eighth grade Spanish students have been coming to Riverview to teach 3rd graders for the past few years. And, guess who is finally in 8th grade Spanish?? Our little June Bug Jones came to room 450 to teach the us all about numbers.

And, I must say, this girl has got some serious people skills. She has a natural ability ask questions to help kids solve problems. She is aware, and engaging. She is kind, and is brave enough to redirect, and then quickly encourage. I was so impressed and proud - it was fun to see her command the room.

But, she has said she is going to "take a break" next month, and let other kids come and teach my class. She will probably come back in February. 🤣

✨Prose Family Christmas 2023! ✨
Amy and Eric hosted, and I can't love this long table enough!

Gifts from the siblings - apparently, they didn't communicate. Or maybe they did...😂

Lauren and Carter

No cousin sleepover this year😞

AP's smoked salmon and some cheese for the win.

Winter House with the Hustons takes place the first weekend in December. This year, we went back to Nisswa. The house met all our requirements:
1) On a lake (however, this year provided NO ice fishing, sledding or snow-fort making)
2) Hottub
3) Pool table
4) Access to a restaurant
5) TV (for the obligatory bad holiday movie)

Happy birthday, Big D. Thanks for spending it with us every year.
