I am obsessed with anything Bitmoji.  They make me laugh, and I love them so much.  I also love following teachers on instagram, who are crazy creative and hilarious.  One of my favorites posted these awesome bit-posters and I couldn't get to her TPT store fast enough.  Look out, 75.  Prose's bitmoji is coming for ya.

Open House 2018 for this 6th grader.  He looks a bit apprehensive, and he is, but I know after just one day he will fully adjust.
Open House 2018 for this 3rd grader and she looks excited, and she totally is.  No more butterflies for our little gnome.
I never get to go to Open House, but AP does a stellar job.  He takes all the pictures and fills out all the forms, and holds all the hands.  And, this year, he even dropped by Room 75!

Grammy and Grampy likely passed on hwy 10 as he headed north and she south.  We were so excited for the annual school shopping extravaganza - and fashion show!!  These kids (myself included) are set for another great year.  Pretty sure we have the best Grammy in the world.

#daytwo

I always question if we will be able to do it, but the SAFPROJACs never let me down.  This our favorite weekend of the summer, and I can't think of a better way to close the door to summertime.  Now to detox.

Here we go!  Our favorite weekend of the year!!  Grampy arrived right on time, we drove in a torrential rain to our saved parking spot and picked up the Caveman for round one in the GREAT MINNESOTA GET TOGETHER 2018!!!!

Bennett thinks it's a secret, but I'm sure everyone knows, this phase is his favorite.  He 100% loves walking around the fair with only grown ups - and his favorite men grown ups likely make it 110%.  We stopped for some food about every 90 minutes and a beer every 45.  We checked out some barns and wild life.  Then, it was time for the girls to arrive - wearing their ponchos!  It was obviously time for some buckets of cookies!

AP was the last to arrive (always the working man) and then the fun really began, as we crept closer and closer to the mid-way...

These little faces, with tired eyes and ginormous grins are my favorite faces.  (Harps, too, but she was pretty anti-tilt --whirl at this moment.)

I'm officially starting school tomorrow.  I have been at school puttering around, but tomorrow I get to fill out a timesheet and get paid for my work.  I am excited for school, kinda.  I am totally pretending like I'm 100% ready, but I'm prob about 40%.  This has been such a lovely summer (even though we are without a pool).  I have loved sharing the days at home, and traveling around with my family.  I will miss the mornings snuggling with harper watching cartoons, and afternoons on the deck reading with bennett.   But, mostly, I think I am going to pine for my 2pm avocado eggs.

I have said it once, and I'll say it again and again - we have THE BEST neighbors.  After Nikki and I finished our weekly "I'll race you" mowing session, she asked if we wanted to tie-dye.  She had all the stuff, we just needed some whites.  Of course we wanted in on the fun!  We had never performed this ritual, and we were about to learn from the best.

Harper and Lucy were very creative in their process.  They wrapped their items with haphazard knots and rubber bands, and drenched their items with various shades of blue.   You know Bennett was apalled by their choice, as he planned and measured and carefully applied his color.  He also asked for stencils.

They are pretty cute, and I think the clothing will be, too.
