Harper has gotten really good at planning social events during the school day, and enforcing those plans on the weekend.  The latest, and likely the most entertaining, was bringing these three sweet girls to the local roller rink.  The roller rink that opened in Saint Cloud in 1970something, and hasn't changed at all.  There is still carpet on the walls, and black lights on the ceilings, and pickle shots sold at the bar.  And, of course, the best play list blaring from the speakers.

Tentative Harper rolled around with her walker - but it was considered a win because last time we went, she didn't even get out on the rink.

"I will babysit, any time, Kylee!  And don't worry, my mom won't leave until I am 12."

The boys have been spending as much time as possible doing the above.  And while they are away, the girls love to play!  Harper did look a bit shocked when I said "Of course!" to her request of bringing her besties to the roller rink, but that's exactly what we did that frigid Saturday afternoon.  (And, then went home and watched a movie in bed.)

At her very own slug of a pace, Harper is widening her social participation sphere.  I'll take it.

Have you seen Eddie the Eagle?  Bennett may not be a high flying skier, but he definitely is our very own Eddie.
Safar Family Fun day is always just that - and 2018 was one of the best in the books.  While we all were missing one very special Uncle, Dad, Grandpa - Rose was filled with love and food and laughter and the most ridiculous gifts ever.  Fun lined underwear, anyone?
