Monumental MEA Day Two:
Thanks to Uber, we made the way to George Washington's home, Mount Vernon - which ended up being my favorite part of the trip.  I loved the energy, and the landscape.  While it was a warm day, with lots of walking, it was totally worth it to run our hands along the very same banister that POTUS #1 used every single day, and hug a tree that he planted, and experience the emotional pull of the slave cemetery, and the stories that lay buried there.

Arriving back in the city, we stopped for a well deserved beer and some tots.  Then, it was time for some Boo at the Zoo!!  An activity that we were unsure of, but decided we should try to incorporate something for Harper other than walking around and looking at statues.  And, it gave us an opportunity to see Monica and her kiddos again!  Win, win!
