Have I mentioned how much I love this summer?? The kids are becoming so independent, and can safely play outside semi-unattended and freely run from our house to the neighbor's. They can keep themselves busy, but still love to play with their mama and daddy. And, they love to go to baseball with Boo!

We headed to Pine City to celebrate family and Grandma's 74th birthday. The weather didn't disappoint, and neither did the company.
The kids and I arrived first, and spent a few hours on the newly found - and super awesome - sandbar. A few hours later, the cousins pulled in, and we zipped down to pick them up from the dock.
andy was the last to arrive - just in time for s'mores and frog catching.

Bennett got the spend this entire week at Camp Invention. Pretty much the perfect camp for the Boy, as he got to invent and create prototypes for all kinds of creations. And, pretty much the perfect camp for me because Kylee was an instructor and she picked him up each morning and dropped him off each afternoon!! (Win win!)
Today, Andy, Harper and I were able to attend the inventors showcase, and get to check out all the inventions from the campers. It was such a well run camp - and the inventors did not disappoint.

A beautiful week didn't disappoint when Thursday rolled around. Ricky and I opened the pool up early, and the kids promised not to nap. Well, after about 3,476 cannonballs, H crash landed.
After a 90 minute time out, the games began again. Check out the multi-tasking outfielder / hula hooper.
(Best baseball moms)
Oh! And this happened, too.
I love summertime.

Harper has never been a good sleeper. In fact, I am quite certain the only time I have slept through the the night, since months prior to her birth, was when I was miles and miles away. Even then, I wake up often and remember I don't need to be listening for her door creeping open.
So last night, when I heard her door open, I wasn't surprised. I waiting for her to come in and rub my arm or cheek, waiting for the approval to to crawl in. But, she didn't. I got up, and found the little gnome - in deep sleep - trying to open the door to the garage.
Another Prose kid sleep walking phase?!? Say it isn't so!! Thus, Mama's night was even more sleepless as I thought about all the scenarios of her getting out, no one hearing her as she ended up in the blackness of the garage... I got up 3 more times, just to make sure she was in bed. And, tomorrow, I'm totally barricading the doors.
