Chapter Two: A Five Hour Drive
From Denver, we got in the car for a short 5 hour drive to Santa Fe - which really turned into an all day trip. We had to stop a few time to check out the local sites - including the Royal Gorge, a rock shop and a real saloon for lunch and a beer (Have your recognized the pattern yet?).
The Royal Gorge really lives up to it's name - charging almost $30 as an entrance fee. Being the frugal roadtrippers, we opted to view from afar, and save $100 for future adventures.
The rock shop was full of... rocks! And gold! And wood! and clams?
Crossing the border to Sante Fe was... yep. pretty awesome.
On to the Hotel. Motel. Holiday Inn (express).
