I wish wish wish I would have taken more photos of this remodel, but the above is the only one I have - that grin pretty much says it all.  We were able to leave the Jacobson littles with Bennett for a bit of solo shopping with Harper.  She was in her glory, selecting accents pieces for her room and getting all the attention for herself.  She held T's hand, and bopped around picking up, discussing and either putting back or dropping the selected item into the golden basket.  Later, we picked up all the kids, went to a sit down lunch and did more shopping.  I was - yet again - grateful for how awesome these kids are.  There were no tantrums because one child wanted something, no whining or need for attitude adjustments.  They just chatted away, and let T and me (ok, you know it's really just T) do her thing.  And, after a day of shopping, we still had time to get the entire room put together just in time for happy hour.  I think I might say this about every room T has designed, but this one might just be my favorite.

 And, Harper agrees.

Thanks to social media and loads of great friends, the boy was kept busy pouring lemonade the busy suburban families.  We deiced to take a break from the heat and watch our favorite kinder perform in the local production of "Charlotte's Web".  Lucy shined bright, and we are certain that we will have the opportunity to watch her in several other plays.  But, we will leave the dolls at home.

Come one, come all - it's Bennett Prose's annual JDRF Lemonade Stand fund raiser!  He will be on the corner of 5th and 15th - likely until I force him to come inside.  The lemonade is fresh and the merchant is quite witty.

It has been a long time since the last remodel at the 1407.  So long that the littles are now officially big enough to paint - and paint well!  I enlisted their help for Operation Glam-o-rama, and they got right to work.  Bennett insisted on taping the trim, because "that's what dad would want", Harper insisted on having the music blasting because "music makes everything more fun" and I insisted on using a drop cloth and prayed we would pass the inspection I knew was coming...

July 27 - 30 Why go home when we can go to Wisco??  We packed up (again) and headed to the Mad City for a weekend of Bucky Hunting (finding 53 of 85) and nature hiking and cocktail drinking.  We explored and debated and attended a concert.  We worked our first event, and handed out stickers to all the PP supporters.  It was the best weekend with a perfect mix of old favorites and new adventures.  And, Colie.👯
