Christmas arrived in Morningstar the Saturday before Christmas. "We are so lucky, Mom! So many celebrations!" was the quote by Bennett. And, he is right - lucky are we - to have the best neighbors a family could ask for, and kids who can play independently - kind of.
Year 18 of blogging about the Ninja and the Gnome. We continue to laugh more than we cry. Enjoy as the hilarity ensues.

Prose Family Christmas
We woke at 5am to begin the kitchen prep. We prepared the turkey and Grandma Safar's stuffing. We prepped all the veggies and potatoes and bread. We stocked the bar. No surprise, it was quite the spread.
After we had given great thanks, and had our feast, we had at the gifts. Only for the kids this year, with was a brilliant idea - seeing their excitement is more than enough for the adults.
Our perfect evening, ended with a cousin sleep-over and an early night for my favorite husband and SIL.
It was a Christmas success, and while every one made memories - Rita whispered in my ear "I want Christmas back." I can't say I blame her, wanting all her kids at her house for Christmas. We will head back to the River in 2014. Happy, Merry, HO HO HO.

Twas the Night...

Feeling like a super duper mom today, I made cookies with the kids and we created a Christmas craft! Got some cardboard and markers?
The trees turned out so great - and it kept us busy for almost 45 minutes! Which gave me some time to prepare for the big Prose Family Christmas show - that has been stressing us out for weeks! (a good stress, of course.)

Brrrrr....
Baby it's cold outside. Like brutally cold as the Polar Vortex takes hold... But, those dogs are beautiful.
