We closed out the final days of June at the River with our favorite Proses. The weather was perfect for Ralph (the floating fun mat) and fireworks. We celebrated Rita's birthday with a boat ride to dinner and deep fried shrimp baskets. After the kiddos went to bed, there was a fire by the bunkhouse. It was a pretty great day. 💞
Year 18 of blogging about the Ninja and the Gnome. We continue to laugh more than we cry. Enjoy as the hilarity ensues.

The SMS Marching Band season came to a close with it's final parade this weekend. We had parades in Becker, Sauk Rapids, Sartell, and Milaca. There was a week of Band Camp that kicked off the season (thanks to Grammy for getting the boy to and fro) and then the marching and candy retrieval began. And Bennett loved every minute of it! While I must say I will be ok with not hearing "George of the Jungle" for a while, it was fun to watch Bennett march and see how much he enjoyed it! The band had a great season, taking first in every single parade!!🎶♬♫

This is us most nights, Bennett and I watching some kind of TV, Harper with her headphones listening to some other program, Andy in the nearby chair, and everyone trying to sit on the same square of the couch. I may complain about this at times, begging for some space, and maybe not to hold hands any more, or watch something other than Pawn Stars or American Pickers - but it's really all a big farce. There's no place I'd rather be than right here, right now.

Happy Father's Day!! To celebrate our INCREDIBLE daddy, we decided to surprise him with a trip to the movies!! Complete with a blindfold and windy path to the theatre. Of course, we attended a matinee showing of "The Incredibles 2"! Fun times had by all, as everyone stayed awake for the entire production, no one had to leave the movie to go to the bathroom, and we didn't run out of popcorn! We love our daddy so much, and hope he enjoyed his day as much as we enjoy him (but more than he enjoyed the blindfold - that was not his favorite part of the day.)
And, of course we can't blog about Father's Day and not recognize the Original Mr. Incredible. I serioulsy lucked out in the dad department. 💯

Lauren graduates!! How is this open house even possible?? Somehow, it happened, and we would not have missed the opportunity to celebrate with our future news anchor. Lauren is headed to Iowa State to major in mass communications, and there is no doubt in my mind that she will soon be on the news one day. We are so proud of you, Lulu, that we got all crafty for your dorm.

June 9, 2018 - Happy happy birthday, sweet sweet girl. You are 8 today! EIGHT!! Harper, you are so smart and kind and creative. You love to play with your friends, but also crave some quiet time and space. You are able to make us all laugh with your spontaneous chants (hei-ya!!!!) and silly expressions. You love your brother - probably the most - even though I like to think I take the title. Your favorites include: anything sweet -chocolate, icecream, candy, Babysitter Club books, dancing, singing, making your own (pretend) Youtube videos, playing with your dolls and snuggles with your mama. We love your sweet face always and forever and no matter what.
RT18 Day 9 - hopped on the earliest ferry, and sped home through MI, WI, and MN. Rushed through a good bye because they always make me cry and got home in time to wish that sweet faced girl a happy #8, and snuggle with the boy. They missed me a little - or a lot, considering the sign was a light up one.
