PS - It's really not over, not even close. We have so much more to do!! But, Bennett likes a timeline and I suppose we better start convincing Harper she is actually going to 2nd grade, on the bus, without her brother.
Year 18 of blogging about the Ninja and the Gnome. We continue to laugh more than we cry. Enjoy as the hilarity ensues.

Last day of July. August is the official start of the school year for the Prose Family. We try not to think, discuss, shop or worry until August. One more day of our Official Summer - as designated by Bennett. We decided the only thing we would plan today was to go out for coffee and smoothies. The rest of the day we promised to do whatever we wanted (even if Harps wanted to lay in bed and watch TV, and Bennett wanted to take things apart in the garage, and I wanted to do laundry and roam around my house...)

Bennett's final baseball tournament for the season was moved to Saturday and Sunday. This really messed up our plan to be at Rose Lake "all together", as Nicole was home for her annual summer weekend. We hemmed and hawed about this and it was decided that Andy would take the Boy to his tournament, and Papa and Grandma would join the cheering section. The girls would head up to Rose. While Harper, Colie and I soaked up the sun and feasted on Doug's mad grilling skills - Bennett took 3rd place, and won the "human vacuum" award (which, apparently is for being a rockstar catcher...). Then, AP decided to celebrate by an impromptu Twins game, where the award held true and Bennett caught a fly ball.
