Last week, the Boy and I went to the eye doctor for our yearly exam. Fortunately, neither one of us had big changes to our perscription - which is good because I'm old and Bennett is young. Apparently, old and young people often have huge changes. Even though there was little change, we both were due for some new spectacles. Unfortunately, eyewear is expensive! We almost broke the bank getting four pairs of glasses and a year supply of contact lenses. Fortunately, I have an HSA.
We waited and waited - and finally got the call today! A whole new world!!

A beautiful -mid-April - morning at the bus stop. It's days like this, I know I would be a great stay at home mom. Get the kids a healthy breakfast, pack up their bags with knock knock jokes, completed and checked homework, and a reuseable bag of nutritious snacks. I'd high five them as they board the bus
then walk back inside and pour myself a cup of coffee.

First day back at school, and Bennett saunters up to me with a grin on his face. He says nothing - grabs my hand and leads me to the bulletin board. Smiling proudly, he points and says, "It's hard to be humble... right, Mommy?" and I finish for him "Especially when you're perfect in every way."
