With both the kids gone, AP and I didn't really know what to do... Definitely not going out, didn't want to invite anyone over, but had to keep occupied so we didn't fall asleep. So, we decided to (finally) do the super weird molding thing that we got for our anniversary (like 2 years ago). 

We mixed up the batter, and submerged our holding hands into the cold goo. Just a few minutes later, the mixture was set up, and we removed our hands. 

A few hours later, we peeled back the outer layer, to see an exact replica! It was not only super weird, but super cool!!  I actually love it, like a lot.

Families are so thoughtful.  Candles and mugs and coffee gift cards are great... but, every now and then you have that special family who just "gets it".  Thanks, Joey and Avalon - but know your kid is not the reason I drink. 🤣

 Just a little prep for our upcoming island adventure... WE ARE SO EXCITED!!!

 These two sweet faces are growing up. And, while friendships ebb and flow, they always gravitate to each other with a sense of love and security. (And, they still like to play in the snow.)

NYE 2022! For the first time, we decided to celebrate suburban style and stayed AT HOME! 😲 We tubed, and played games, and of course, there was the virtual comedy show. Ringing in the new year, with my favorite people is my favorite tradition. 

 

Christmas 2022 was a very Grinchy Christmas. Not only because of the theme (that Grammy went in with 100%), but because the weather thwarted the arrival of my sister. 😭 The icy roads and blizzard conditions did not provide a safe route - so she made the responsible choice to stay in Mad-City. 

The charcuterie board was def not as beautiful. 🤣

There were the obligatory (awkward) family photos, traditional turkey stuffing, evening walks to check out the lights, visits to Grandma and so much family fun - even without presents!! 

Next up - HAWAII!!!!!
