When Grammy and Grampy ask what we are doing over MEA break, and our response is "oh not much", and then they suggest a trip to FL, you know the very eager response!  YES, PLEASE!!!  We packed up our Fjallravens and printed out our boarding passes.
I must include the story of the family members we are missing.  AP was planning to come with us, however work happened.  Nicole was planning to come with us, however a running vacation in Mexico happened.  While we knew we would miss two of our favorites, it also meant we had Grammy and Grampy all to ourselves!

 We have arrived!!

G: Whatcha’ doing?
B: Making some shirts for Monday.
G: What’s Monday?
B: Well, I can tell you it’s definitely NOT Columbus Day. (Pause) You know, Mom. The Indigenous People - they discovered Columbus.
G: You know it, B. You know it.

Big day at the 1407.  Highlights include: Harper getting her very first stick of deodorant because her teacher said "Every 4th grader needs to wear deodorant." and she listens to her teacher.
And Bennett's cross country hoodie finally arrived.

Me: Ok, Harps.  Today we are cleaning the toy room.
Harper:  No, I don't think we are.
Me: Yes.  We are.
Harper:  Are you sure?
Me: Yes.
Harper:  Are you sure sure?
Me: Yes.
Harper:  Ok - but only if we can take before and after pics.
Me: Deal.

(No judgement, please.)

Before.

 After.

Mission accomplished.

There is no better reason to celebrate than Papa's birthday, and celebrate we did - with our favorite Proses and brunch!  Per usual, Andy and Lisa took charge of the menu, and it didn't disappoint.  Just check out this spread!

We love you, Papa!!  This Bud's for you! 💗

The older they get, the shorter the first day of school pep talk becomes.  We didn't have any tears this morning, and only a few last night.  Here are their thoughts: We love school, we want to start school, it's just that first day is scary and makes us nervous, and we already miss the freedom of summertime.
But, we get ready, we take the pictures and we get on that bus.  And when we get home, we know mom was right - it's going to be the best year ever.
