And the birthday celebration continues with BESTIE PRESENT EVER!  T got us tickets to see Ani at First Avenue - the infamous, purple REIGN supreme First Ave.  The my feet stick to the floor and I'm definitely not going to the bathroom First Ave.  We rose our fists in the air, and sang songs of revolution.  We stayed out until after midnight, and per usual I fell asleep to T talking.

 KidSTOP Kid of the Week - Harper Nicole Prose!!  Thank you for being a kid of character!  (Thank goodness she was wearing her favorite headband today.)

For once, we were so prepared for Valentine's Day.  Harper had her valentines selected and complete last week.  She opted for smartie hearts (easy peasy!!).  Bennett told me over and over that "5th Graders don't do Valentines, Mom."  Which was apparently the truth, until tonight.  Bennett decided that he wanted to distribute Valentines, and he jumped on the computer to make his own.  As always, they are so Bennett.

 While Harper tried on various outfits to wear in honor of this day of love, and modeled them for us, until she found the "sweetest" one.  As always, so Harper.

 The celebration continued upon our return from the Twin Cities - as Bennett wore a shirt just for me, and my class opted for "Black Day" in my honor.  One of my sweets told me, "Don't worry, Ms. Prose.  Forty isn't old - now eighty - THAT'S OLD!"

 Happy birthday to me.  The big 4-0.  The mighty for-tay.  Officially over the hill.  I must say, I kinda dig it.  The Mister planned a weekend away to celebrate - and that we did - with good beer, great food, sleeping in and room service - it was the perfect.  Oh, and I got to sport my new beaver hat.
