I asked andy what would be a perfect Father's Day. He said breakfast at Jimmy's and then an all day pool party. Ask and ye shall receive...

They day only got better when Rick grilled up loaded bacon bleu burgers. Pretty sure it was in Andy's master plan to be sleeping early, and he accomplished that by beating everyone else to bed.

It was a perfect day, for our favorite daddy. (Other than Douglas, of course, he always is my favorite.)

I peeked back at my photos, trying to come up with a creative, witty post for the day. I found these pictures, and then wondered where my phone had been for the day...

Everyone was happy for mama to be home.  And we played today - everything from playdough to fort building to smoothie making to park trecking. (All the while, mama put off her desire to putter with housekeeping and bill paying and laundry).

And, the best part of the day was that the pool was finally made official.

And so it begins...

I miss you already.

So long southern Cali... But, before we leave, just one more trip to crazy town pier - this time Santa Monica.

Beach day!!!

With so many to choose from, the plan was to check out several beaches. However after the strenuous morning watching HGTV, and  the people watching improved as the afternoon plodded on, we stayed put.

Until it was time for some dogs...
