FINALLY!! We were able to talk our fully vaccinated selves to visit our fully vaccinated PAPA AND GRANDMA!!! It has been forever and a day since we have been able to give hugs - but it was worth the wait.  We are excited to spend a lot of time together this spring - big sale and big move on the horizon!

Fourteen years ago, never would I have thought that the blog would last this long.  But, it was one of the best decisions I made, to document this life.  (Thanks, Colie for introducing me to this technological platform so many years ago...).  While I know the audience is incredibly small, I love sharing our world with you.  And, I love know that Bennett and Harper will always have access to our stories.

H: Mama, think I can walk home from school in the spring?

Me: Yes. I walked home when I was your age.
H: TO THE FARM?!?!?
Me: No, to Great Grandma and Great Grandpa’s house. But it was really far!
AP: I walked to school and back - across a lake every day!!
B: Well, I walked home during a global pandemic.
You win, Bennett, you win. 🤦‍♀️

Just another Saturday night in quarantine, spent with our neighborly pod (we really need a name, or team shirts or something...) I made the mistake of sharing one of my greatest fears - a certain cannibal named Hannibal.  Just a few short days later, a package arrived.  It was addressed to Gina Bon Jovi, and included this figure.  Now, this doll has a way of showing up in various locations around the house.  Don't sleep too soundly, Big D.  He might just come over for some fava beans and a nice glass of Chianti.

Close every ring every day.  Mission accomplished.

This is the kind of stuff Bennett has to deal with during Distance Learning Days...

He keeps telling me to watch out - we never know when he will wake an angsty teen...  I'm not too worried.
