Soon, it will be time for the annual "clear the hunting trails and go to as many dollar stores as possible" weekend.  And, I couldn't help but shake my head when this picture popped up of Bennett's first hunting trip.
I remember it clearly, zipping him up his camouflage gear.  As B left the house with his Daddy, he was being lectured on how he had to be "very very quiet" in the woods.  Like no talking, no making noise, just tread carefully through nature.  And while Andy was trying to convince his mini-me that this was actually the expected behavior, the little boy was doing his best to convince his daddy that there had to be another way.

Final day of homecoming 2017 - can you tell we all are a little over it?  (For the record, today we all had the same theme for dressing up - Sabre Pride aka wear something blue.  It went over really well.)

After school, I dropped off the Studen Council Represtitive for his parade duties.  Then, zipped back home to pick up the rest of the Morning⭐ crew (and hot toddies).  The parade was my favorite of the season - nice and short.

You would think that a district that can successfully pull off a One District One Book campaign, and put the same book in the hands of every single student in every single building, would be able to coordinate dress up days in the various buildings.  But, they have yet to figure this one out, so the three school aged Proses continue to head to their respective buildings in their respective theme attire.  Today, the Mrs. donned her best Western Wear, the 5G'er was in his Decade Dress (the 70s, 1770s obviously), and the 2G'er in her finest PJs.
Thankfully tomorrow is Friday, and school pride day for everyone, and the end of these dress up days.

Can you guess the themes for today?

Don't we clean up (and get along) well...

It's again that time of year.  iPhone mania has hit the market, and everyone is losing their minds about the latest and greatest computer that fits in your pocket.  I contemplated upgrading, but didn't really think it was necessary.  Until Grammy got a new phone, and this happened.
I mean, seriously.  Look at that picture.  The quality.  The depth of field.  The enter any other photography language you can think of...  And then, Boo got a new phone, and this happened.

The portrait aspect settings, the cropping...  Those ears...
and, it was decided that we would have to take the models out in some nature (and a local brewery) to really test the quality of this new gadget in various lights and environments.  Call it an experiment, or a field study, or an excuse to run around outside and then stop for a beer.

Sold.  I'm off to ATT to see what they can do for me.  It's really all about the blog, isn't it?  I must continue to invest in a quality camera for the sake of the kids - and preserving our memories.  A camera that fits in my pocket, and looks like a phone.
