Wednesday Shower Night Entertainment - 

Pine Meadow Elementary is 90 seconds from my house - and they have TEACHER ONLY dress up days???!!!  Say what??  I finally get my PJ Day and Dress Like PE Teacher Day - and (not as excited about) Dress Like Your Favorite Book Character Day.  As I ponder over if I should participate in a character dress, I will gladly do it wearing my PJs all day.  (actually, Kylee's PJs - only Kylee has matching elementary school appropriate pajamas.

Oh kindergarten.  The joys of kindergarten.  H love kindergarten (let's not talk about the bus or kidstop), and Mrs. Hurdt.  And, in true kindergartener spirit, Mrs. Hurdt knows EVERYTHING. and what she says is gospel. (omgosh, a side note; I totally said the other day, "Mrs. Hurdt said you had to wear a jacket."  total lie.  but, it worked like a charm!)

Our first "family project" came home, and is due Oct 19.  Apparently, Mrs. Hurdt said to "turn it in whenever you and your family are finished."  Which translates into - "we are making this pumpkin right now because MY TEACHER told me to turn it in when I was finished!!!!!" Alright - let's go make a pumpkin.

We always go to the grocery and never stick to the list. Today, the impulse buy was...

A popcorn maker. Who doesn't need popcorn for breakfast every now and then? 

So many things to do this Saturday. Wash the windows, do laundry, scrub the floors, paint a room, clean the cupboards... None of those things sounded like too much fun - and when the opportunity to attend our favorite House of Pizza's 50th birthday bash - we couldn't resist. I mean - it's had pizza and live music and local beer. Way way more fun than scrubbing or washing.

Aside note: this event was full of teachers from ORE and PME. Hmmmm.... Weird.

Pull! Pull! Pull!

The sun goes down much quicker these days, and we are soaking up every minute. Homework on the patio!
